BrainDead Finale Recap: Did Laurel and Friends Manage to Save the World?

File the following items under Things I Can Never Look At the Same Way, Thanks to BrainDead: Cherry blossoms. Tupperware. Ants or bugs of any kind, really. Joggers wearing headphones. And, of course, salami. CBS politicalcomic-thriller has offered up 12 weeks of weird, wacky and wonderfully satirical summer television but as the fate [] ....Read More... //

BrainDead Season Finale Review: Love You

Not only did Laurel let the two little words slip out in casual conversation (raise your hand if you've ever done that same thing...HAND RAISED), but BrainDead Season 1 Episode 12 and BrainDead Season 1 Episode 13 tidied things up so nicely they felt like a love letter to fans. Was there anything left unsaid that you couldn't live without being said by the time the credits rolled? It would have been impossible to address every single thing, of course, but this finale worked on so many levels. ....Read More...   //

BrainDead Season 1 Episode 11 Review: Six Points on the New Congressional Budget

Before we get started, can I just ask if anybody is ever going to use these titles for anything ever again? For example, the title of BrainDead Season 1 Episode 11 is "Six Points on the New Congressional Budget: The False Dichotomy of Austerity vs. Expansionary Policies," which is cute, and I even understand this one (pat me on the back), but SHEESH. You can't even make a URL for Google search purposes out of it, and you're certainly not going to Tweet it. Nonetheless, it contained a reference to the Budget, which housed the Farm Bill, which hid the locations for the internments camps, so...good deal. ...Read More...   //

BrainDead Season 1 Episode 10 Review: The Path to War Part Two: The Impact of Propaganda on Congressional War Votes

How does an alientexpect to survive inside of a baby and then a toddler and child, etc? That was the most puzzling question to come from BrainDead Season 1 Episode 10 , because unless I missed something, baby Grace (as well as mama Germaine) are infected by the alients. It serves Luke right, as he's a darn pig when it comes to marriage. He doesn't deserve the happy ending with his family. Not that he'd allow himself to have it, anyway. ...Read More...   //

BrainDead Season 1 Episode 9 Review: Taking on Water: How Leaks in D.C. are Discovered and Patched

Laughing out loud and retching. That's what I'll remember about BrainDead Season 1 Episode 9 , because I did both in equal measure. Gareth probably did more of the latter, as he didn't find it very funny at all that Laurel's sex life was under scrutiny by Red and his new friend, Ashley. Especially since Gareth fell prey to the lies printed in the enormously thick file. Whoops.  ...Read More...   //
